Four (4) 1-hour online training sessions:
  • February 20, 2018 (6:00PM-7:00PM ET): Battery Pack High Voltage Contactors (Relays) and Control Systems
  • February 21, 2018 (6:00PM-7:00PM ET): Battery Pack Sensing Systems: Diagnostics and Failure Modes of Voltage, Current, Airflow and Temperature Circuits
  • February 27, 2018 (6:00PM-7:00PM ET): High Voltage Bus Pre-Charge Systems Diagnostics and Failure Modes
  • February 28, 2018 (6:00PM-7:00PM ET): Scan Tool PIDs and DTCs
Knowing the internal components of any systems is vitally important for a service technician, whether it is an engine, transmission, or other system.  This series will instruct the technician on battery pack internal High Voltage Contactors (relays), sensing systems and the vitally important Pre-Charge system so Scan Tool data, failure modes, and diagnostics are more fundamentally understood.  At the conclusion of this series, the technician will be able to apply the knowledge learned about battery pack hardware and control systems to Hybrid, Plug-In, and Electric Vehicle systems, and the associated battery pack and Pre-Charge circuit failures.

This class results in a certificate of completion that will be provided to the participant after successfully completing all online training sessions in the series. The certificate and its stated hours are eligible for NATEF annual credit and may count toward other professional development requirements.
