The Nissan Leaf was introduced in year 2011 and is one of the most popular electric cars for the masses. In August 2016, it was identified as the world's all-time best selling highway-capable all-electric vehicle with over 230,000 units sold since 2010 (top market: USA, with 98,800 units). This series will cover an overview of the vehicle, followed by specific details on the components and how they operate. At the conclusion of the series, technicians will know safety intervention, high voltage system operation and its controls, climate control system configuration including displays and telematics functionality, evolution of the vehicle over time, differences between generations, high voltage battery evolution, and finally, autonomy.
This class results in a certificate of completion that will be provided to the participant after successfully completing all online training sessions in the series. The certificate and its stated hours are eligible for NATEF annual credit and may count toward other professional development requirements.
